Olá! Hoje vou falar sobre partes do corpo em
Português. Devo dizer que, se acharam o título
estranho, não estão sozinhos. Eu também achei!
De qualquer forma, por mais estranho que seja o
assunto, todos nós temos partes do corpo e pode ser
muito útil saber o nome de cada uma delas,
se formos ao médico, por exemplo.
Portanto, decidi dar-vos uma lista de vocabulário
sobre este assunto hoje, para que vocês não digam
que o vosso braço está a doer, quando na verdade
é a vossa cabeça que dói. OK vamos começar!

Quando somos crianças na escola, sempre
aprendemos estas palavras primeiro. É como se
estivéssemos a dividir o corpo em três partes -
a cabeça, o tronco, os membros.
Depois disso, começamos a aprender em detalhe
todos os substantivos restantes sobre o corpo.
Vamos lá aprendê-los agora?

o couro cabeludo
a face / a cara

as orelhas
os ouvidos

Então, nesta tabela, incluí tudo o que podem
encontrar na parte da corpo
correspondendo à cabeça.
OK, eu nunca pensei que diria esta frase
estranha na minha vida, mas acho que vocês
percebem o que quero dizer.
Incluí a “parte interna das orelhas” porque quando
quisermos avisar o nosso médico que estamos com
dor de ouvido, não diremos “Dói-me as orelhas”, mas
sim “Dói-me os ouvidos”. Só usaríamos a primeira
frase se tivéssemos um corte na parte externa da
orelha ou outra lesão que estivesse a fazer com que
a parte externa da orelha doesse.
Então, agora vamos passar para
a "parte superior do corpo".

Não tenho certeza se “upper body” é a tradução
correta para “o tronco” porque não acho que eles
significam exatamente a mesma coisa. Em
Português, “tronco” significa o corpo sem a cabeça,
sem os braços ou as pernas.
Portanto, incluí também as ancas.
Em seguida, vamos olhar para os membros.
Mais uma frase engraçada!

Notem que, ao contrário do Inglês, em Português
“toes” e “fingers” são a mesma palavra.

distinguir pelo contexto), podemos dizer “os dedos
dos pés” ou “os dedos das mãos”.
Agora, na próxima tabela, veremos os nomes das
partes “íntimas” do corpo.

topic, we all do have body parts and it might be
quite handy to know the names of each of them,
if we are going to the doctor, for example.
Therefore, I decided to give you a list of vocabulary
about this topic today, so you do not say
that your arm is hurting, when in fact
you want to say that your head is in pain. Ok, let’s start!

When we are kids at school, we always
learn these words first. It is like if
we are dividing the body in three big chunks -
the head, the upper body and the limbs.
After this, we start learning in detail
all the remaining nouns about the body.
Shall we learn them now?

the back of the head
the eyes
the nose
the ears
the (inner part of the) ears
the mouth
the lips
the chin
the neck
So, in this table, I included all you can
find in the “head part
of the body”.
OK, I never thought I would ever say this weird sentence
in my life, but I guess you
know what I mean.
I included the “inner part of the ears” because when
we want to tell our doctor that we have an
earache, we will not say “Dói-me as orelhas”, but
we will say “Dói-me os ouvidos” instead. We would only use the
first sentence if we had a cut in the ear
outside or another injury that was making
making the outer part of the ear hurt.
So, let’s move on to
the “upper body part of the body”.

I am not sure that “upper body” is the correct translation
for “o tronco” because I do not think they
mean exactly the same thing. In
Portuguese, “tronco” means the body without the head,
the arms or legs.
Therefore, I included the hips as well.
Next, take a look at the limbs.

You should note that, unlike English, in Portuguese
“toes” and “fingers” are the same word.
